Vikki Van Vliet is Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Trans Audit, a major global post audit specialist. Vikki, who possesses over 18 years in the transportation and freight audit industries, joined Trans Audit and the TLC in 2010. Prior to Trans Audit, Vikki was employed by CTSI-Global as Director of Business Development, and Data2Logistics as Regional Sales Manager and Client Relationship Manager. Vikki holds a MPA and BA from the University of Central Florida, and an AA from the University of South Carolina.

Vikki has twin boys, Easton and Alden, and lives in the Raleigh, NC area. Vikki, David and their boys enjoy traveling, their families, and the beach.

Jeff Meyer is a Senior Manager Transportation at Nestle Purina PetCare Co., world headquarters in St. Louis Missouri.  Jeff has been with Nestle Purina PetCare for 23 years with 15 of those in various factory based supply chain roles.  In his current corporate role, Jeff is responsible for carrier contracting, compliance, claims, customer pick-up programs, LTL service providers, and parcel transportation.  Prior to coming on board with Nestle Purina Jeff worked for a 3PL and a cartage & linehaul carrier rounding out 35 years (245 dog years) of service in the transportation & supply chain industry.

Jeff has an interest in sports cars and participates in high-speed track days at various road-racing circuits as a driver and crew member.

Dan Bohlman is Director of Logistics at Butterball, LLC in Garner, NC and has been with Butterball since 2006. Dan is responsible for the sourcing of Butterball’s truckload, less than truckload (LTL) and intermodal modes of transportation. In addition, he oversees transportation operations, freight claims and freight settlement/payment processes. Dan also oversees all the warehousing at Butterball. Prior to his role at Butterball, Dan had roles in logistics project management and overseeing 3rd party (3PL) warehouses for ConAgra Foods.

Dan earned his degree in business from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He lives in the Raleigh, NC area with his wife, Courtney and their 4 children.

He is following in the footsteps of his Grandfather, Don, who retired from Yellow Freight and his Father, Jerry, who retired from Landstar. His background includes Sales at McLeod Software and Maverick Transportation.

Grant lives in Bentonville, AR with his Wife, Meghan, and their two daughters, Evelyn and Aubrey. Grant grew up in Baxter Springs, KS and is a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and the Kansas Jayhawks. In his free time Grant enjoys hiking, binge watching TV shows, and bragging about his Wife and Daughters to anyone who will listen.

As the leader of Procurement North America, Doug is responsible for team of buyers who purchase a variety of commodities in support of Geodis. Additionally, he is responsible for the back office functions in support of the transportation management business that includes Freight Audit and Payment, Continuous Improvement and Reporting, Customer Billing and Carrier Management. Doug joined Geodis in March of 2011. Prior to joining Geodis, he spent over 20 years with Schneider National, most recently as Vice President of Logistics Shared Services where his team procured over $2 billion in transportation services annually. During his tenure at Schneider, he held numerous roles in operations, customer service and account management.

Doug served as a Captain in the United States Army. He holds a B.S. with a computer science concentration from the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. In 2007, Doug received his certification from APICS (the Association for Operations Management) as a certified supply chain professional. Married, with three grown children, Doug and his wife Char, spend a lot of time vacationing with their children in Colorado. Doug is also an avid Green Bay Packers fan, season ticket holder and owner.

Carla has served the logistics industry for over 10 years in ever increasing areas of
responsibility. She began her carrier in transportation as a broker, hauling sensitive produce, food, and beverage loads. She currently serves as the Senior Operations Support Manager for BM2 Freight Services; a 3pl Broker, based in Northern Kentucky.

Carla’s responsibilities at BM2 include comprehensive oversight of Claims, Compliance, Carrier Services and Afterhours Departments. She handles and facilitates all claims, carrier setups, overrides, systems compliance, contract reviews and after hours track and trace.

In March of 2022, Carla passed the CCPAC Exam becoming a Certified Claims Professional. Carla also serves as the Regional Director of Region 3 for the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council (CCPAC) and is an arbitrator for the Transportation Arbitration Board (TAB). In April of 2023, Carla became a Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) by passing the CTB exam offered by Transportation Intermediaries Association.

When she is not working, Carla enjoys spending time with her husband, hunting and riding motorcycles. She has 2 grown children, that still keep her on her toes, but together they enjoy regular dinners, swimming and hanging out poolside with a bonfire.

David Nordt, CCP was elected as the Executive Director by the membership at the 2023 CCPAC Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA on May 1, 2023.  Previously he served as the President of the Council, a position he held for the longest term of any CCPAC President to date. He joined CCPAC in 1998. He was also recently promoted to the National Director of Claims at The Gilbert Company.  He has over 40 years of experience in transportation management.

At The Gilbert Company he is the Director overseeing cargo claims, OS&D, loss prevention, quality control and operations. David serves as Board Member of the Transportation & Logistics Council (T&LC), and Arbitrator on the Transportation Arbitration Board (TAB).  He also is member of the Traffic Club of Newark, NJ,  a member of New Jersey Motor Trucking Association and the Eastern Regional Transportation Security Council. He also is a member of the Transportation Loss Prevention & Security Association and the American Society of Industrial Security.

He served as President of the Northeastern Motor Carrier Claims & Security Conference during 2000-2004. David was elected President of CCPAC at its 41st Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL on March 23, 2015.  He received the CCPAC Award for his 7-year term as President at its 48th Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL.  David will now serve as the Executive Director of CCPAC and has been a member of CCPAC for 25 years.  He is a proud Army veteran.

Jessie is an accomplished and respected industry expert at Jarrett Companies where she oversees the claims program in her role as a Senior Claims Analyst. Well-versed in both LTL and truckload claims, she effectively manages cargo claim disputes and processing. Additionally, she analyzes data and reports in an effort to monitor and improve operational efficiencies and loss prevention strategies. Her determination, dedication and honesty are characteristics that have laid a trustworthy foundation for her internal and external relationships. Within her seven years at Jarrett, Jessie maintains a high level of integrity and on a daily basis continues to place an emphasis on fostering positive partnerships with clients and carriers.

As the VP of Communications / ProClaim for the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council, Inc., Jessie extensively researches subjects and collaborates with CCPAC members to publish informative articles on relevant topics, taking care to highlight notable changes in the ever-evolving transportation industry. She has sat on the CCPAC board since 2020. Additionally, Jessie is a member of the Transportation Arbitration Board as an arbitrator for the shippers side.

When she is not focused on claims, Jessie enjoys spending time with her husband Josh and their two young children. Some of their favorite family activities are swimming, boating and fishing. She loves football and is an avid The Ohio State Buckeye fan!

Jon Gehrts is the Director of Supply Chain for UniPro Foodservice in Atlanta, GA and has been with UniPro since 1998. Jon currently oversees the contracting and monitoring of over 400 transportation providers for UniPro and its members. In addition to contracting, Jon develops the inbound logistics program for twelve members, is the liaison between UniPro and its transportation management software provider and is responsible for member freight managed by UniPro.

Jon enjoys coaching his daughters in youth basketball and running fun and quirky 5Ks with his family.

Jerry Jacobs is the Director of Risk Management for Prosponsive Logistics. Jerry joined Prosponsive back in 2022. Prior to joining Prosponsive Logistics, he spent 11 years with Coyote Logistics, a UPS subsidiary. Jerry has been working in the supply chain industry for 14 years and has worked in logistics risk management for over 12 years. In his current role, he’s responsible for overseeing Prosponsive’s Claims and Carrier Compliance Departments. Jerry has a wealth of knowledge in claims/risk mitigation, cargo security, theft & fraud investigations, carrier compliance, insurance, DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and sustainability. Jerry has also served as a board member for the Southeastern Transportation Security Council (SETSC). He has also been directly involved in winning numerous Best in Cargo Security awards from CargoNet for his respective organizations.

On a personal note, Jerry hails from Long Island, NY and has been living in the Metro Atlanta Area for the past 23 years. Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife Sade and their two kids, Joseph (13) and Justice (2). Jerry enjoys cooking, fishing, listening to music, working out, playing cards with friends, and watching SEC football on Saturdays. Go Dawgs.

I would describe myself as a talented and driven professional with over 17 years of experience within the logistics industry. I am currently the Branch Manager for the NFI Brokerage office in Schaumburg, IL. Our team here is rapidly growing by cultivating opportunities with current NFI customers and new customer acquisition. I have full P&L accountability for the IL office and responsible for leading and coaching our sales team as well as other cross functional branch leadership.
Prior to joining NFI in 2015, I spent 15 years at CH Robinson in the Chicago Central location as a Sr. Sales Executive. There, I was responsible for building a client portfolio while leading and coaching other sales people to create and develop their own book of business. I was in part responsible for Chicago Central’s rise to over $1.5 billion in annual revenue in less than 10 years time.

I am very passionate about coaching and competing. As a natural leader and competitor, I have a life-long love of sports. I am an avid fan of Chicago based professional sports teams as well as area collegiate athletics. I am an active Cross-Fit athlete and enjoy competition wherever I can find it. I am an active member of my community as a member the Knights of Columbus service organization, Special Olympics, and organized youth sports. I currently reside in Elmhurst, IL with my wife Marcie and our four daughters (yes 4 girls, not a typo).

Carrie Frisbie is Director of Cargo Claims for SEKO Logistics, Corporate World Headquartered in Itasca, IL. SEKO Logistics is a is a global Supply Chain Solution provider specializing in transportation, logistics, forwarding and warehousing. Her role includes reviewing of contracts, risk assessments through KPI’s, supervising the Cargo Claims Department, along with settlement and subrogation of cargo claims.
Prior to joining SEKO Logistics in 2014, Carrie was with Hub Group for 10 years starting in Operations and moving to Cargo Claims. Chae Pak is currently the Senior Director of Transportation at Spectrum Brands, Inc.  He has over 20 years of experience in various aspects of the supply chain, including sourcing, distribution, and transportation, across various industries. He currently manages approximately $300 million in global international ocean/air operations, US domestic transportation, and freight payment. Prior to Spectrum Brands, Inc., he worked for Fortune 500 companies such as ABB, Schlumberger, and MillerCoors.

Chae served as a Logistics Readiness Officer in the United States Air Force. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado-Boulder and an MBA from Arizona State University.

Chae lives in the DFW area with his wife and two kids. When he is not driving cost savings through supply chain optimization, he enjoys snowboarding and working out at the gym.

He earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University.

Chris served as a Supply Corps Officer in the U.S. Navy and recently retired after 30 years of Active Duty and Reserve Service. He has two adult children, both in graduate school. Chris and his wife Nicole live in Shorewood, WI.

Michael Carlisle is the Director of Logistics Operations at United States Cold Storage. Michael has been with United States Cold Storage for 3 years and is responsible for the Cold Share Consolidation program across the United States. The Cold Share Consolidation program at United States Cold Storage is one of the largest refrigerated and frozen consolidation program in the United States. Michael is also responsible for carrier procurement and management within US Cold. He has 17 years of logistics experience in both warehousing and transportation. Michael holds a BS from Northern Illinois University.

Michael lives in Bolingbrook, Illinois with his wife (Jennifer) and two children (Mikey and Morgan). When not working Mike enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son’s baseball team, and golfing.

Deena Walechka is a Claims Specialist II in Risk Management at FedEx Custom Critical. In her current role, she is responsible for investigating and analyzing claims for customers in a wide array of industries including technology, pharma, and food. She is passionate about education, and enjoys being able to provide valuable feedback that can generate cost savings for her customers. Throughout her time handling cargo claims, she has spent time building strong relationships and credibility with her teammates, customers, and service providers through detailed efforts to validate claims before filing them and ensuring all groups are educated on claims laws and regulations. Deena has been in the transportation industry for 19 years, and with FedEx (previously GENCO) for over 13 years. Prior to her Claims Specialist II role, she held multiple positions within Operations and Cargo Claims.

In 2021, Deena was elected to the Board of Directors for the Transportation and Logistics Council. She now serves as an Assistant Regional Director, and frequently is an expert panelist on the numerous webinars offered through the Council. She obtained her CCP Certification in April of 2022, and is also a part-time student at the University of Memphis working towards a degree in Professional Studies with an emphasis on Organizational Leadership.

Deena lives in Northeast Wisconsin, where the winters are too cold, and the summers are not long enough. She calls herself, “100% solar powered” and loves traveling to warmer climates, especially those with a beach. She funds her travel by working part time at a local convenience store. She is married and her and her husband are in the middle of renovating an old farmhouse from top to bottom. She has two adult sons, and a plethora of nieces and nephews whom she adores. When travel is not feasible, her favorite thing to do is spend time with family. She also loves games, escape rooms and laughing.

Askia Shaheer is Manager of International Logistics and Transportation for JOANN and has been with JOANN since the Fall of 2022. Prior to joining JOANN Askia spent 20 years at Big Lots Stores, Inc, most recently as General Manager of Global Logistics.  During his time at Big Lots, he held numerous roles in transportation with responsibilities over freight payment, claims, network analysis, global logistics and transportation financial planning.
