Jeff Meyer is a Senior Manager Transportation at Nestle Purina PetCare Co., world headquarters in St. Louis Missouri. Jeff has been with Nestle Purina PetCare for 25 years with 15 of those in various factory-based supply chain roles. In his current corporate role, Jeff is responsible for carrier contracting, compliance, claims, customer pick-up programs, LTL service providers, and parcel transportation. Prior to coming on board with Nestle Purina Jeff worked for a 3PL and a cartage & linehaul carrier rounding out 39 years (273 dog years) of service in the transportation & supply chain industry.
Outside of work Jeff has an interest in sports cars and participates in high-speed track days at various road-racing circuits as a driver and crew member.

Carrie Frisbie, CCP, serves as the Director of Cargo Claims for SEKO Logistics, a global supply chain solutions provider headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois. SEKO specializes in international transportation, logistics, forwarding, and warehousing services. In her role, Carrie oversees the Cargo Claims Department, conducts contract reviews, performs risk assessments using key performance indicators, and manages the settlement and subrogation of cargo claims. She brings more than 20 years of experience in transportation and cargo claims to her position.
Carrie currently serves as President of the Transportation and Logistics Council, following earlier leadership roles as Area Director and Assistant Area Director. She earned the designation of Cargo Claims Professional (CCP) in 2014. She is a Past President of the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council (CCPAC), where she previously served as Chairman, President, and Regional Director. In addition, she is an Arbitrator for the Transportation Arbitration Board.
Carrie is certified in Leading Teams through the University of Illinois Gies College of Business and is also a Certified Master Life Coach. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Carrie enjoys spending time with her two teenage children and is passionate about her entrepreneurial work in life coaching and photography.

Jessica is an accomplished and respected industry expert at Jarrett Companies, where she oversees the claims and risk management program in her role as a Cargo Claims and Risk Manager. Well-versed in both LTL and truckload claims, she effectively manages cargo claim disputes and processing. Additionally, she analyzes data and reporting trends to monitor and improve operational efficiencies and loss prevention strategies. Throughout her 10+ years at Jarrett, Jessica has maintained a high level of integrity and continues to place strong emphasis on fostering positive partnerships with clients and carriers.
Jessica currently serves as Treasurer for the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council (CCPAC), where she collaborates with fellow board members to support the organization’s financial stewardship and long-term sustainability. She has served on the CCPAC Board of Directors since 2020 and remains actively involved in supporting industry education and professional development initiatives. In addition, Jessica is a member of the Transportation Arbitration Board, where she serves as an arbitrator representing the shipper side.
Recognized as a subject matter expert in cargo theft prevention and risk management, Jessica frequently speaks at industry conferences and events across the United States. She is passionate about sharing knowledge, strengthening industry partnerships, and educating transportation professionals on emerging cargo theft trends, fraud prevention strategies, and best practices for protecting customer freight.
When she is not focused on claims and risk management, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and their two children, Ella and Nicholas. Some of their favorite family activities include gardening, coaching fastpitch softball, and watching their children play sports. Jessica also loves football and is an avid THE Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Deena Walechka
Deena Walechka is a Claims Specialist II in Risk Management at FedEx Custom Critical. In her current role, she is responsible for investigating and analyzing claims for customers in a wide array of industries including technology, pharma, and food. She is passionate about education, and enjoys being able to provide valuable feedback that can generate cost savings for her customers. Throughout her time handling cargo claims, she has spent time building strong relationships and credibility with her teammates, customers, and service providers through detailed efforts to validate claims before filing them and ensuring all groups are educated on claims laws and regulations. Deena has been in the transportation industry for over 20 years, and with FedEx for over 15 years. Prior to her Claims Specialist II role, she held multiple positions within Operations and Cargo Claims.
In 2021, Deena was elected to the Board of Directors for the Transportation and Logistics Council. She now serves as an Assistant Regional Director, and frequently is an expert panelist on the numerous webinars offered through the Council. She obtained her CCP Certification in April of 2022, and was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for CCPAC in 2024.
Deena lives in Northeast Wisconsin, where the winters are too cold, and the summers are not long enough. She calls herself, “100% solar powered” and loves traveling to warmer climates, especially those with a beach. She is married and her and her husband are in the middle of renovating an old farmhouse from top to bottom. She has two adult sons, and a plethora of nieces and nephews whom she adores. When travel is not feasible, her favorite thing to do is spend time with family. She also loves games, escape rooms and laughing.

Carla has served the logistics industry for over 10 years in ever increasing areas of
responsibility. She began her carrier in transportation as a broker, hauling sensitive produce, food, and beverage loads. She currently serves as the Senior Operations Support Manager for BM2 Freight Services; a 3pl Broker, based in Northern Kentucky.
Carla’s responsibilities at BM2 include comprehensive oversight of Claims, Compliance, Carrier Services and Afterhours Departments. She handles and facilitates all claims, carrier setups, overrides, systems compliance, contract reviews and after hours track and trace.
In March of 2022, Carla passed the CCPAC Exam becoming a Certified Claims Professional. Carla also serves as the Regional Director of Region 3 for the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council (CCPAC) and is an arbitrator for the Transportation Arbitration Board (TAB). In April of 2023, Carla became a Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) by passing the CTB exam offered by Transportation Intermediaries Association.
When she is not working, Carla enjoys spending time with her husband, hunting and riding motorcycles. She has 2 grown children, that still keep her on her toes, but together they enjoy regular dinners, swimming and hanging out poolside with a bonfire.

Jerry Jacobs is the Director of Risk Management for Prosponsive Logistics. Jerry joined Prosponsive back in 2022. Prior to joining Prosponsive Logistics, he spent 11 years with RXO (formerly Coyote Logistics, A UPS subsidiary). In his current role, he’s responsible for overseeing Prosponsive’s Claims and Carrier Compliance Departments. Throughout his 14-year career in logistics and risk management, Jerry has obtained a wealth of knowledge in contract review and negotiations, claims/risk mitigation, cargo security, theft & fraud investigations, carrier compliance, insurance, DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and sustainability. Jerry has also served as a board member for the Southeastern Transportation Security Council (SETSC) and has been directly involved in winning numerous Best in Cargo Security awards from CargoNet for his respective organizations.
On a personal note, Jerry hails from Long Island, NY and has been living in the Metro Atlanta Area since 2001. Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife Sade and their three kids, Joseph (14), Justice (3), and baby Julius. Jerry enjoys cooking, fishing, listening to music, working out, playing cards with friends, and watching SEC football on Saturdays. Go Dawgs.

Doug is responsible for the leadership of the GEODIS Transportation Management line of business which provides transportation services for over 100 customers. Additionally, he is the leader of Americas Procurement team responsible for the procurement of over $500M of commodities and service in support of GEODIS. Doug joined GEODIS in March of 2011. Prior to joining GEODIS, he spent over 20 years with Schneider National, most recently as Vice President of Logistics Shared Services where his team procured over $2 billion in transportation services annually. During his tenure at Schneider, he held numerous roles in operations, customer service and account management.
Doug served as a Captain in the United States Army. He holds a B.S. with a computer science concentration from the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. In 2007, Doug received his certification from APICS (the Association for Operations Management) as a certified supply chain professional. Married, with three grown children, Doug and his wife Char, spend a lot of time vacationing with their children in Colorado. Doug is also an avid Green Bay Packers fan, season ticket holder and owner.

David Nordt, CCP was elected as the Executive Director by the membership at the 2023 CCPAC Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA on May 1, 2023. Previously, Dave served as the President of the Council, a position he held for the longest term of any CCPAC president to date. He joined CCPAC in 1998, making him a member of the organization for 26 years. Dave has over 40 years of experience in transportation management. He was recently promoted to the National Director of Claims at The Gilbert Company / Geodis. In this capacity he oversees cargo claims, OS&D, loss prevention, quality control, and operations. Dave serves as a board member of the Transportation & Logistics Council (T&LC), and arbitrator on the Transportation Arbitration Board (TAB). He also has membership in the Traffic Club of Newark, NJ, New Jersey Motor Trucking Association, and the Eastern Regional Transportation Security Council. In addition, he is a member of the Transportation Loss Prevention & Security Association, and the American Society of Industrial Security. He served as president of the Northeastern Motor Carrier Claims & Security Conference from 2000-2004. Dave is a proud Army veteran.

Benjamin Crawford is the Director of Materials for Essex Solutions, where he has worked for 14 years. He is responsible for forecasting, logistics, scheduling, and inventory planning for North America. The Essex logistics team manages freight for 7 factories and 12 warehouses in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Benjamin has 30 years of experience in supply chain management. He has an MBA from Indiana University and a Bachelors degree from Purdue University. He is an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and has served as the Chair of the APICS Instructor Development Program. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the IVY Tech College Supply Chain program.

Christine Gramse is a highly experienced professional in the transportation industry, with over 25 years of expertise. She currently serves as a Transportation Claims and Audit Specialist at Land O’ Lakes, Inc., based in Arden Hills, MN. In her role, Christine manages the review, filing, negotiation, recovery, and reporting of cargo claims for various modes of transportation across the company’s four divisions.
Christine received her CCP Accreditation in 2013 and holds the position of Executive Vice President of the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council, Inc.
